1. Who We Are
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Global Goods Home websites, online stores, products, and services, including our Christmas decor and home decor ranges. “Global Goods Home” is operated by Retailrus Limited, Centris Business Gateway, Level 4/W, Birkirkara, Malta, CBD 3020. 2. Eligibility & Account
- You must be 18+ to purchase.
- You are responsible for keeping your account details secure and ensuring information you provide is accurate and up to date.
3. Orders & Contract Formation
- Your order is an offer to buy. We will confirm receipt by email; a binding contract forms when we accept the order (for example, by sending a dispatch/shipping confirmation or when payment is taken in store).
- We may cancel any order (for example, in cases of suspected fraud, pricing error, stock unavailability, or other legitimate reason). If we cancel, you will receive a full refund of sums paid for the cancelled order.
4. Prices, Payment & Taxes
- Prices are shown in EUR or GBP and include VAT where applicable.
- We accept various payment methods via third-party payment processors. We do not store full card details.
- If your bank or card issuer charges fees (such as foreign exchange or international transaction fees), you are responsible for those charges.
5. Shipping & Delivery
- We ship to the destinations shown at checkout. Indicative delivery estimates are not guarantees.
- Risk & title: risk transfers to you on delivery to your address or to a carrier chosen by you (where that carrier is not our carrier). Title to the goods passes upon full payment.
- Damage / shortage on delivery: because many of our items are fragile decor products, please inspect your parcel on arrival and notify us within 48 hours with clear photos so we can assist.
6. Customs & Import
For deliveries outside your customs area, you are the importer and responsible for any applicable duties and taxes. We cannot control customs decisions or delays.
7. Legal Guarantee (Warranty)
Your purchase is covered by the EU/EEA legal guarantee of conformity:
- New goods: minimum 2 years from delivery.
- Refurbished/used goods (if offered): at least 1 year.
If a product is non-conforming, contact us. We will (in this order, where reasonable) repair, replace, offer an appropriate price reduction, or refund. This guarantee does not cover:
- Damage from misuse or improper handling of decor items (including use contrary to any instructions or warnings);
- Unauthorized modification or repair;
- Normal wear and tear or expected aging of materials.
8. Returns & Right of Withdrawal (Summary)
- For online/phone purchases, consumers have 14 days from delivery to cancel without giving a reason (see our full Refund & Returns Policy for details).
- Certain items may be excluded where allowed by law (for example, sealed hygiene items once unsealed, downloadables after access is provided, personalized or made-to-order items).
- For in-store purchases, your statutory rights apply; our goodwill policy may also apply (see our Refund & Returns Policy).
9. Store Credit (“Gems”)
We offer single-merchant store credit called “Gems”, which you can use to purchase Global Goods Home products (including Christmas and home decor items).
9.1 Issuer & Scope
- Gems are issued and accepted only by Global Goods Home (Retailrus Limited, same legal entity) and are redeemable solely for our goods/services, online or at our own physical stores (if applicable).
- Gems are not a currency, not e-money, and are not interest-bearing.
9.2 Purchase & Limits
- You can purchase Gems like any other product.
- Balance cap: your outstanding Gems balance (after top-up) is capped at €500 or £500 per customer account. We may refuse or reverse top-ups that would exceed this cap.
- We may impose additional velocity or AML/fraud controls and request ID where required by law or for security reasons.
9.3 Redemption
- Gems can be used at checkout (online or in-store) by the account holder.
- We may request proof of identity in store.
- No fees apply to hold or redeem Gems.
9.4 Transferability & Cash-Out
- Gems are non-transferable and may not be sold or exchanged.
- Gems cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by mandatory law.
9.5 Expiry & Inactivity
- Gems do not expire.
- We may suspend access to a balance in cases of suspected fraud, unauthorized use, or chargeback investigations.
9.6 Loss, Theft, or Compromise
- Protect your account login details and devices.
- We are not responsible for balances spent by someone who gains access to your account due to your negligence (for example, sharing passwords).
- Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use so we can review and, where appropriate, secure the account.
9.7 Refunds Involving Gems
- If you paid with Gems, refunds are returned to your Gems balance.
- If you paid with a mix of Gems and card/cash, refunds are made proportionally (Gems back to Gems; the rest to the original payment method, where possible).
10. Prohibited & Acceptable Use
- You agree not to use our products unlawfully or in ways that violate applicable safety, export, or sanctions rules.
- For safety, always follow any instructions and warnings provided with lighting, electrical, or flammable decor items.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, illegal activity, fraud, or breaches of these Terms or other policies.
11. Changes to the Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time.
- The version posted on our website at the time of your order applies to that order.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta, without prejudice to your mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence in the EU/EEA/UK. Courts at your place of residence may have jurisdiction under consumer law.
